ゲームは簡単で収集物が膨大という同工異曲のLEGOシリーズ。チートコードを使用しても実績に影響しないのも相変わらず。達成率100%を目指す過程でほとんど解除される。
実績に直接関わるわけではないが、Red Brickについて非常にまぎらわしいバグがある（後述）。
ちなみに、Years 5-7と銘打っておきながらYears 8まである。

Red Brickの取得状況が正しく反映されないバグがある。Red Brick Detectorの矢印や、story modeクリア後に現れる幽霊が、取得したはずのRed Brickをいつまでも未取得として表示し続ける。見た目がまぎらわしいこと以外に問題はないので無視して良い。

各levelごとに一人ずつStudents in Perilがおり、levelは全部で24ある。さらにHogwartsに36人のStudents in Perilがいるので計60人……のはずなのだが、実際にはHogwartsに37人いるので計61人。もちろん、60人集めれば達成率は100％になる。

-O Children
Year 7のIn Grave Dangerでテントが設営される。テントの中に入ってすぐ左のテーブル上にMuaraders Mapが置かれているので、近づいてBボタンを押す。Year 7以降でもYear 8やFree Playにてテントに入る機会はあるが、肝心のMuaraders Mapがないため、もしYear 7でこれを逃してしまうとNew Gameからもう一度やり直さねばならない（Replay Storyも不可）。
また、テントに入って正面やや右にあるラジカセのようなオブジェクトに攻撃すると、O Childrenが解除される。
-Avid Reader
下の動画ではQuibbler dispenserから雑誌？のようなものを取り出しているが、ゲームが進むとSpectrespecsという眼鏡を取り出すようになる。「貪欲な読書家」という実績名だが、このSpectrespecsでも解除される。
Spectrespecsは頻繁に使うことになるので、特に時間を割いて作業する必要はない。

-Weasley Does It
対象となるのはArthur, Molly, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, Ginnyの9人。Hogwartsの食堂前のホールを右に進んで屋外に出ると、Weasley boxとキャラクターを変更できる壺が揃っているので便利。
-Not "Fun Guys"
Red Capsとは、地面から飛び出てきてプレイヤーキャラクターにつきまとうキノコのお化けのような敵のこと。あまり多くは出てこないので、見かけたら必ず倒しておきたい。

大釜で操作キャラをLord Voldemort、2P側はハリーにして、緑色のドクロマークアイコンのスペル"Avada Kedavra"を使い、ハリーを倒すと解除。対象はHarry Potter、Harry (Albert Runcorn)、Harry (Godric's Hollow)、Harry (Locket)、Harry (Brown Jacket)、Harry (Winter)、Harry (Pyjamas)、Harry (Christmas)の8種類。
-A Dish Best Served Cold
Years5-Level6 "A Veiled Threat"のFree Playで、操作キャラをNeville (Waiter)にして、Bellatrix（左側の魔女）をduelで倒すと解除。
